1. General Air:
There are three international airports in Vietnam: Noi Bai (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh City), Danang (Danang). In each airport, the tax for international flights is US$ 14 (Children under 2 are exempted).
Flights are available to Bangkok, Singapore, Paris, Hong Kong, Seoul, Sydney, Berlin, Jakarta, Manila, Taipei, Guangzhou, Vientiane, Amsterdam, Moscow, Frankfurt, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Dubai, Osaka, Kaohsiung, and Phnom Penh.
Noi Bai Airport is about 35km from the north of the city. There are Vietnam Airlines minibuses going there, fee is 22,000 VND person (Vietnam Airlines Office, 1 Quang Trung St.) and cars of Airport Taxi for 140,000 VND (Tel: 873 3333). Now there are buses from the centre to Noi Bai Airport. The price is 5,000 VND.
Danang Airport is close to the centre of the city. A taxi costs about 20,000 VND.
Ho Chi Minh Airport is 15km from the centre of the city. A taxi is about 50,000 - 80,000 VND.
Train:
Hanoi Railway Station, located at 120 Le Duan St., at the end of Tran Hung Dao St., is Vietnam’s main railway station. It is the starting point of five railway lines leading to almost every province in Vietnam.
Bus and minibus:
There is a good service to go to other cities and provinces.
City buses:
Air - conditioned city buses and minibuses are available on most of the main streets of Hanoi and operate daily from
5am to 9pm. It is served by Hanoi Transportation and Service Corporation (www. Hanoitranserco.com). There is one bus about every 5 - 10 minutes. The fare is 3,000 VND. Bus stop stations are indicated by green signs with white letters and yellow top with the red symbol bus.
Car:
It is possible to hire a car with a driver, a Jeep, or even a minibus or a bus, from most tourist offices, hotels, and airline offices.
Taxi
There are many companies in Hanoi offering metered taxi services.
The common price is about 7,000 VND per kilometre. If you get more than 10km the price is less, about 5,000 VND per kilometre.
Bicycle and motobike:
You can be hired on the street and from many travellers cafes and hotels. The price for renting a motobike ranges from US$ 5 to US$10 per day and a bike about US$1. You will have to leave your passport with the owner as a deposit. To be safe, you should always leave your motobike or bike in a supervised parking area.
Motobike Taxi ( Xe om):
Xe om, is a popular, fast and cheap. Cost for a xe om is 2,000 VND per kilometre.
Cyclo:
A good way to view around Hanoi is by cyclos. You can get cyclos at streets in center of Hanoi.

The local Organizing Committee will arrange a reception desk at the Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi) on September 21st - 23rd, 2008 (All day and night) at the Meeting Point (Next to Information desk - The ground floor)
