B. Post congress tours
1. Central Tour: Hanoi - Hoian - Hue
(3days/2 nights)
Hue
was the capital of Vietnam in the feudal sovereignty, from 1744 when the
Nguyen lords controlled all of southern Vietnam from the city. Hue is
divided between the older fortified Citadel, containing almost everything
interesting, and the new, smaller sprawl that has developed across the
river. The new side contains most of the facilities, the hotels,
restaurants, travel agencies, and banks. People come to Hue to see the old
Imperial complex, the Citadel and the Forbidden city, the pagodas, and the
many tombs of the emperors that lie a few kilometers south of the city. Each
tomb is a walled compound containing temples, palaces, and lakes. Hue is a
quiet and relaxing city.
Hoi
An is a beautiful city in Vietnam just south of Da Nang. The Old Town of
Hoi An is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hoi An was a major
international port in the 16th and 17th centuries, and
the foreign influences are discernible to this day.

Ho Chi Minh City is in the South of Vietnam.
It's a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city in the
country, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter. Yet within the
teeming metropolis are the timeless traditions and beauty of an ancient
culture.
The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of
connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi district of Ho Chi Minh
City, Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that
underlie much of the country. The Cu Chi tunnels were the location of
several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the National
Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam's base of operations for the Tet
Offensive in 1968.
